STARLAKE commercial LED panel lights provide broad, uniform illumination for offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail spaces, and other commercial interiors where visual comfort, clean ceiling integration, and flexible lighting control matter.

The current slim panel platform combines selectable wattage, 3500K/4000K/5000K selectable CCT, 120° light distribution, and 0–10V dimming. Recessed and compatible flush-mount configurations support different commercial ceiling conditions.

For lighting brands, distributors, contractors, importers, and project buyers, STARLAKE also provides OEM/ODM engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and North American supply support.

Uniform Commercial Lighting Starts With Light Distribution

An LED panel’s broad luminous surface helps distribute LED output across a larger emitting area for general ambient illumination.

The lighting result depends on more than total lumens.

For offices, classrooms, and other occupied interiors, evaluate:

  • Target illuminance

  • Fixture output

  • Altura de montaje

  • Distancia entre elementos de fijación

  • Distribution and uniformity

  • Direct-view brightness and glare

  • Ceiling geometry and reflectance

STARLAKE’s current panel platform uses a 120° distribution.

The basic relationship is:

Distribution → Mounting Height → Spacing → Task-Plane Illuminance → Uniformity

Increasing spacing can reduce fixture quantity, but excessive spacing can create lower-illuminance zones between luminaires.

Increasing fixture output does not automatically correct an unsuitable layout.

For larger projects, verify fixture quantity and spacing using fixture-specific photometric data or an IES-based lighting layout.

Selectable Wattage for Different Project Requirements

Commercial projects can contain rooms with different dimensions, functions, and target light levels.

STARLAKE’s current slim panel platform provides selectable wattage:

Fixture FormatSelectable WattageLumen Output
2FT10W / 15W / 20W1,000 / 1,500 / 2,000 lm
4FT25W / 30W / 40W2,500 / 3,000 / 4,000 lm

Rated efficacy is 100 lm/W.

Selection should follow:

Application → Target Illuminance → Room Geometry → Spacing → Required Output → Wattage Setting

For contractors, selectable output provides flexibility across rooms with different lighting requirements.

For distributors:

One Panel Platform → Multiple Output Settings → Fewer Fixed SKUs

The highest wattage setting should not be used automatically. If a lower setting already achieves the required maintained illuminance, additional output increases connected load without necessarily improving the lighting result.

Choose 3500K, 4000K or 5000K

STARLAKE’s selectable-CCT platform provides 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K settings.

CCTVisual CharacterTypical Commercial Direction
3500KSofter neutral whiteComfort-oriented commercial interiors
4000KBalanced neutral whiteGeneral offices, schools, and commercial spaces
5000KCooler whiteProjects specifying a cooler visual appearance

CCT should follow the intended atmosphere, visual task, interior finishes, and project specification rather than a universal application rule.

Selectable CCT also reduces the number of fixed configurations distributors may need to stock.

Within one continuous visual zone, keep the commissioned CCT consistent unless the lighting design intentionally specifies otherwise. Unplanned mixing can create visible differences across the ceiling.

Slim Recessed and Flush-Mount Installation

Commercial panel lighting must fit both the lighting layout and the ceiling system.

STARLAKE’s current platform supports recessed installation and compatible flush-mount configurations using the appropriate mounting accessories.

FormatApproximate Fixture Dimensions
2FT23.7 × 5.75 in.
4FT47.72 × 5.75 in.

The slim profile can be useful where the ceiling cavity also contains HVAC ducts, wiring, fire-protection systems, and other building services.

Before ordering, verify:

  • Ceiling construction

  • Opening dimensions

  • Available plenum space

  • Mounting accessories

  • Driver location

  • Wiring access

  • Service access

A useful installation chain is:

Ceiling Type → Available Space → Fixture Dimensions → Mounting Method → Driver / Wiring Access → Serviceability

For retrofit projects, do not assume that fixtures with similar nominal dimensions are mechanically interchangeable.

0–10V Dimming and Occupancy Controls

STARLAKE’s current panel platform supports 0–10V dimming and sensor configurations including PIR and microwave occupancy sensing. Selected configurations also provide Bluetooth-related control functions.

Depending on the project, controls can support:

  • Dimming in offices and meeting rooms

  • Occupancy-based operation in intermittently used spaces

  • Different operating strategies across multiple rooms

  • Reduced unnecessary full-output runtime

Controls should be specified before ordering.

Compatibility depends on the complete system:

Driver → Sensor → Control Architecture → Project Wiring

A fixture that supports 0–10V dimming does not automatically establish compatibility with every sensor, control system, or wiring arrangement.

Providing control requirements during quotation allows the electrical configuration to be reviewed before production.

Commercial Electrical Configurations

Current STARLAKE panel configurations are available for AC120–277V and AC120–347V, depending on model.

Power factor is specified above 0.9, with driver efficiency above 90%.

Electrical configuration becomes especially important for multi-building projects or distribution programs serving different regional systems.

Before ordering, confirm:

Voltage → Wattage → CCT → Dimming → Sensor → Mounting

Mechanical fit alone does not establish electrical compatibility.

Commercial LED Panel Light Applications

LED panels primarily serve as a broad ambient-lighting layer in compatible commercial interiors.

SolicitudPanel Light RoleKey Variables
OficinasGeneral ambient lightingTask-plane illuminance, spacing, glare, controls
Centros educativosClassroom and support-space ambient lightingDesk illumination, spacing, controls
Healthcare InteriorsGeneral lighting in compatible non-specialized areasVisual comfort, application requirements
RetailGeneral ambient layerUniformity, ceiling integration, coordination with accent lighting

Oficinas

Panel lights can provide general ambient illumination across open offices, private offices, conference rooms, and administrative spaces.

Final layouts should account for work-plane requirements, fixture spacing, ceiling conditions, daylight, and controls.

Centros educativos

In classrooms, panel lighting should provide useful illumination across desks and circulation areas rather than concentrating brightness directly beneath individual fixtures.

Detailed classroom design should also consider teaching surfaces, screens, daylight, and room geometry.

Healthcare Facilities

Panel lights can provide general ambient illumination in appropriate administrative areas, offices, corridors, and other compatible healthcare interiors.

The current STARLAKE BPL specification is IP20.

Specialized clinical, wet, cleanroom, sanitation-sensitive, or other regulated environments may require different construction, ingress protection, or compliance characteristics.

Retail and General Commercial Interiors

Panel lights can provide the ambient layer for retail floors, checkout areas, circulation spaces, and back-of-house areas.

Where merchandise requires visual emphasis:

Panel Lighting → General Ambient Layer

Track / Accent Lighting → Directional Emphasis

One fixture type does not need to perform both roles.

Replacing Fluorescent Commercial Ceiling Lighting

LED flat panels are frequently considered when older fluorescent ceiling systems require modernization.

Do not use:

Existing Fluorescent Wattage = Required LED Wattage

That shortcut ignores ballast consumption, lamp depreciation, reflector condition, optical distribution, and existing maintained illuminance.

Use:

Existing Fixture → Existing Ceiling Layout → Current Light Level → Required Light Level → LED Distribution → Required Output → Controls → Installation Compatibility

Before specifying replacements, document:

  • Existing fixture quantity

  • Disposición del techo

  • Fixture dimensions

  • Mounting method

  • Voltage

  • Controls

  • Required task-plane illuminance

The replacement should maintain or improve the required lighting result rather than simply reduce fixture wattage.

Mechanical compatibility should also be verified because an LED panel retrofit may interact differently with the existing ceiling, mounting hardware, driver location, and wiring.

Commercial Panel Light Selection Guide

A structured specification process reduces lighting, installation, and purchasing risk.

Selection InputWhat to ConfirmPor qué es importante
SolicitudIntended room or spaceEstablishes lighting priorities
Light LevelTarget lux or foot-candlesDetermines required output
CeilingHeight, type, geometryAffects mounting and spacing
OutputRequired lumensHelps prevent over- or underlighting
DistributionFixture photometricsAffects coverage and uniformity
CCT / CRIProject specificationDetermines appearance and color rendering
Voltage120–277V or 120–347VDetermines driver configuration
Controls0–10V, sensor requirementsDetermines electrical architecture
MountingRecessed or flush mountDetermines installation hardware
CertificaciónProject-specific requirementsDetermines compliance suitability
PhotometricsIES file and layoutVerifies final lighting performance

The overall selection chain is:

Application → Task Plane → Ceiling → Distribution → Spacing → Output → Electrical Configuration → Controls → Installation

For larger projects, lumen calculations can provide preliminary estimates, but fixture-specific photometric simulation provides a stronger basis for final quantity and layout.

Selectable Configurations for Distributor Inventory

Project buyers and distributors have different configuration requirements.

A project buyer needs the correct panel for a defined building. A distributor may need to cover several output and CCT requirements without carrying every possible fixed combination.

Selectable wattage and CCT create the relationship:

One Configurable Platform → Multiple Project Settings → Fewer Fixed SKUs → Lower Inventory Complexity

This can support mixed project requirements while reducing unnecessary product variants.

STARLAKE also maintains warehouse support in Ohio and California for selected North American inventory and replenishment requirements.

OEM and ODM LED Panel Light Programs

STARLAKE supports OEM and ODM programs for lighting brands, importers, distributors, contractors, and project suppliers.

Customization can involve:

  • Wattage and lumen configuration

  • CCT configuration

  • Selección de controladores

  • Control integration

  • Optical development

  • Mechanical customization

  • Housing and appearance

  • Private labeling

  • Embalaje

  • Asistencia para la certificación

Not every modification has the same engineering impact:

Label / Packaging Change → Limited Engineering Impact

Driver / Control Change → Electrical Review

Optical Change → Photometric Validation

Structural Change → Mechanical / Installation Review

Major Redesign → Potential Tooling + Validation + Certification Impact

Changes affecting the electrical, optical, or mechanical system should be evaluated before sample approval and mass production.

STARLAKE has 50+ engineers supporting areas including power supplies, thermal management, optics, mechanical design, controls, and LED integration.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

STARLAKE has manufactured LED lighting since 2010 and operates approximately 280,000 sq.ft of production space with manufacturing operations in Shenzhen and Cambodia.

The company employs more than 400 people, including 30+ QC professionals supporting manufacturing quality control.

Bulk production undergoes an 8-hour aging test before shipment. New products undergo validation that includes 30 days of continuous high-temperature testing.

These processes support early electrical, component, thermal, and assembly screening. They do not replace long-term lumen-maintenance data, driver-life evaluation, or application-specific certification.

Current BPL configurations specify more than 50,000 hours of service life and a 5-year limited warranty.

Product-specific warranty, certification, and configuration requirements should be confirmed for the selected model and market.

What to Send for an LED Panel Light Quote

For project evaluation or quotation, provide:

  • Application or facility type

  • Cantidad de accesorios

  • Required fixture format

  • Ceiling type and mounting method

  • Target lumen output or illuminance

  • CCT and CRI requirement

  • Tensión de entrada

  • Dimming requirement

  • Sensor or control requirement

  • Certificaciones necesarias

  • OEM or private-label requirements
